    Some discussion of auidence theory needed here use you uses and gratification knowledge from film also some fandom theory. What are the appeals for the auidence? They have not changed much although the technology used to produce these films has of course. Something about the conversion to Hollywood broadening the auidence impact of East Asian culture on western Culture ie Manga
